This observant and respectful behavior is quite a contrast with the proud xenophobia we constantly hear from the loudest promoters of masculinity today, like techbros who may fetishize Japanese culture while they whine about interracial relationships and being oppressed by DEI

In tonight's episode, Magnum is clearing the name of a dead court-martialed sailor. For which he has to track down the man's old lover, a now-elderly Japanese woman. He understands the racism that kept her from testifying, and knows without being asked to take off his shoes upon entering her home.

I'm leaning towards Notting Hartley. Not that he's a glove puppet, but having thought of the idea I don't want to let it go.

the thing about deepseek is their hallucination rate is through the root, the safety training doesn't work so they use a separate nanny filter to prevent it from violating CCP doctrine, and they don't appear to game benchmarks, particularly. like imho they overperform their benchmarks

No one could write like Stoppard. No one had a sense of theatre like Stoppard. He was a man of tremendous principle who treasured both England and a particularly English form of personal liberty while remaining engaged by the fate of dissidents east of the Iron Curtain.
