Yesterday night, I watched Alien: Romulus. Not gonna lie; if wasn't for that damn AI Ash, which is so noticeably bad, I would've rated it pretty high. Callbacks to the other films were eye-rolling sometimes, but much more harmless than the AI crap.

3 out of 5 stars to Godkiller by Hannah Kaner

The main ingredients here are pretty good, but with a bit more cook time and seasoning, I think Kaner can get it right. Some nice ideas and I liked Inara and Skedi, but the romance and Elogast need refining.

4.5 out of 5 stars to The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden

This was a very fun and fast-paced sci-fi with rememberable characters. Each one of them popped to life on page with a fantastic story. I am so glad my favorite got a happy ending!

3 out of 5 stars to Zothique by Clark Ashton Smith

For the most part, these macabre stories are enjoyable. However, Smith's prose can sometimes get tedious and the stories reptitive. The Dark Eidolon is unmatched though.

4 out of 5 stars to Delusion's Master by Tanith Lee.

It is a tale of how little it takes for humanity to be cruel, but also how so little it can take for them to love. Perhaps love and madness are two sides of the same coin.

"Hey, Nick! Are you gonna read that one vampire book? The one's that about blood and roses or something?"

"Yes, both of them!"

"Wait, what do mean both of them?"

For Christmas, my mom got me one of those IKEA racks everyone was putting their books on. So here's all the books I'm reading next based on my selection method.
Books lying on their spines are that way because they're too big.
The plastic bag is a placeholder for a book which hasn't come in yet.
