Test pizza #1! Too much crust. I wasn't actually trying to make it deep-dish, but I was using Chef Boyardee Pizza Maker dough, which is quite wet and hard to judge. After-cooking weight about 8 oz, so I couldn't eat even half of it right now. Tasty, though, and the pan itself worked great.

My grandmother's old pan cleaned up easily. I just had to scrub whatever that grease was out of it with a handful of salt and some paper towels, quick rinse and dry, and it looks good to go. I'll need to sand and oil that rust spot on the handle, but otherwise we're in business.

made a bunch of slider patties ahead. 2 oz each. a King's Hawaiian roll is almost exactly 1 oz, so between them, one slider = one meal.

I don't think Mother has completely apprehended the portioning limitations I'm operating under now.

Sure is good, though.

Anyway, I've got a bag of Hawaiian rolls, which means I have ham sandwiches for, like... the rest of the year. :)

I salvaged these two cast iron pans, ca. 6", to experiment with making my own, since the one I've been using for years for that purpose is now WAY too big. They'll need a bit of reconditioning first, though...

PIZZA

First one since late September. By far the longest I've gone without pizza since I was old enough to have it. Naturally I went to Pat's in Orono to break that drought.

The missing bit is as much as I was able to eat before getting the rest to go, btw.

Meanwhile, this was lunch today: five whole mini-meatballs.

Note 1: Frozen meatballs do up really well in the air fryer. They get all crispy on the outside.

Note 2: That pyramid formation was completely accidental. When I dumped them out of the fryer basket into the bowl, that's how they landed.

It is SNOW. In MY BACK YARD.

DISGUSTING.

(By the time I took this picture, the precip had turned to rain, so it'll be gone in the morning, but still.)

Reminds me of that one Superman comic where Krypto took down the Eradicator. :)

Trawling around Google Street View just now. I know it's a glitch in the Matrix, but I want this car.

I got this random owlbear figurine years ago, I can't even remember where or why, apart from the fact that it's one of my favorite fantasy animals. Then one day I was looking at the pose it's in and realized...

This is Reditus, a Magos Dominus of the Adeptus Mechanicus. From the moment he understood the weakness of his flesh, it disgusted him.

* Whether the AdMech are Nazis is kind of a debate all in itself, but Reditus himself mainly just does archivist things, since he's just a servo-skull.

Presumably "bat" is not actually part of the spell, or she would've gotten one of these. (Which would be a cooler trick than it seems, since this stuff has been extinct since 2020. :)

Cute!

I never knew how many languages Wolfgang knew, since he was equally capable of disregarding instructions in all of them. :)

At least this time I didn't do a charge attack on one of my bookshelves with my face, like the last time my knee did me wrong like that...

at a glance, this thumbnail makes it look kinda-sorta like they're doing the WORLD ORDER robot walk and man, I am there for that mental image.

Speaking of Pokemon, I just ran across this that I wrote after finishing Sword, 3½ years ago, and I stand by it today. :)
