In general in life I'm pretty happy with living in the Appalachian mountains, obvious political struggles aside it has some great perks and it will always be my home. But a tiny piece of me has also always wondered what my life would be in New York. That part of me is screaming this week.

I don't think enough people realize how much the entire political spectrum in the US has shifted already. It's as if we've gone from 2 dimensional to 3 dimensional, the horseshoe has become a spiral.

I redownloaded Facebook because I was missing out on a lot of local updates especially within my local dance and circus schools, but damn even 5 minutes of scrolling on that app is enough to make me emotionally sick.

Gatekeeping hobbies based on age is so odd. I've been told I'm too young to care about birdwatching or crosswords, watch the same people turn around and say I'm too old to be pole dancing when I'm 40 plus. Meanwhile all these interests exist at the same time.
