A few days after that, Israel killed another first cousin of mine named Noor al-Shantaf, along with her husband and their three children. Only one child survived.

Israel has also completely prevented the entry of mobile homes and caravans, and shelter materials like tents and plastic tarpaulins have been largely blocked, with only very small numbers being allowed in despite the enormous need.

Among the items Israel restricts are drainage equipment, heaters and solar equipment, and reconstruction items such as cement and timber, many of which are classified as “dual-use” items.
