We actually got a very good reviewer that helped to improve the paper. I've also sat down and fed some #data into #blender to generate two videos of the two main paths the ring-rivulet can take:

Usually I don't win stuff, but it makes me happy if I do 😄

As a modeling guy I sit way to much in front of a screen and see way too less what happen in real processes. One hot topic is #spraydrying, because in #pharma manufacturing everything is a powder (fluids > powders). Seeing a drying run in person was way more helpful than reading three more papers.

I currently put together literature on shear degredation of #proteins. My take, so far: enormous amounts of shear would be needed to "damage" a protein. By enormous I mean shear rates of 10^7 on the scale of a protein (a few nm). Anyway, I also made graph of publications 📊 (data: dimensions.ai)

We study a thin liquid ring. The color code below is a thickness (height) field. By changing the initial conditions a little, e.g. making the fluid ring thinner, we get very different outcomes 💧💦.
