Lots of ads so the 90 min eps will be shorter (unless you're watching a service that has ads)

It was part of the "Mystery Movie" series, which rotated 4 different characters; so it was only every 4 weeks

True it is a lot. Start with one of the Patrick McGoohan eps, or the Donald Pleasance one

At a student playwriting workshop, I told a bald man with piercing eyes where to find the men's room. As he walked away, i remembered that Alan Arkin's son, Matt, was performing that evening

I saw this in a movie once. Petersville was a nasty place, full of sin, vice and greed. I preferred the quiet of Bedford Falls

In the 50s & 60s, he was. Besides editing KANE & producing/directing 2 Best Pictures, he did THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, EXECUTIVE SUITE (several Oscar noms), I WANT TO LIVE (winner Best Actress), THE SAND PEBBLES & THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN. These were prestige films in their time

This is almost word for word my opinion of that film. Teeth gnashing.

You mean the two-time Oscar winner who edited CITIZEN KANE? I think if I were producing the movie, I'd think I was in safe hands

(I agree he did a bad job, and the movie was ungodly slow; but he was very well respected in the industry at the time)

I will have to revisit Blue Moon. I was quite sanguine when I saw it. Felt talky and false & I was unimpressed w/ Hawke's attempt at being a "character actor" for the 1st time. (Loved every moment of Andrew Scott). And I'm a musical theatre nerd! Maybe I was just not in the right frame of mind
