Got a copy of The Colours of Life by @babelcolour.bsky.social for Christmas.
It is an absolute thing of beauty- love it! Favourite pictures are of Christina Bevan at Durdle Dor, which always makes me think of Thomas Hardy’s Bathsheba Everdene!

Hello! 👋

I'm newly here from that other space.

I'm a nurse and NHS campaigner

I'm trying to reconnect with some of my old pals from there - could you please give this post a share and help me find them?

Thanks 🙏

Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.

It’s #RemembranceDay. My latest book THE FACEMAKER is about the pioneering surgeon Harold Gillies who rebuilt soldiers' faces during World War I. But Gillies is only one part of this story. Today's thread is in honour of the nurses who played an integral part in the war effort. 🧵 (1/16)

If, like me, you are interested in connecting with fellow #nurses I’ve made a starter pack of those I’ve found on here that have made the jump from the other site. Please have a look.

Going to be hanging out here more after the events of yesterday. Sad to have lost all the connections previously made, but looking forward to reconnecting here.
