The main parts in my robot, and how they are connected.
The two Arduinos run their little loops collecting sensor data and then sending it to the mini PC over the USB cable. The PC is running SQL server and a custom built chat bot.

Those might make some nice drive motors, but they will need to be "geared down". You want to slow them down and increase their torque. You can use roller chain or toothed belts, or maybe find a gear box (may be expensive) My robot uses BOTH.

There are a lot of "robot groups" on facebook that list books and show examples of robots that people build. They also list web sites where parts can be purchased.

#robot #robots #robotics - My "hobby robot project" was started a number of years ago. Zoe the robot runs Windows 7 to take advantage of "multitasking". Zoe can run several programs at the same time. Zoe contains 2 Arduino boards and 2 I/O boards, which collect sensor data asynchronously.

I really like the amber colored lacquer. It makes my robot look a little "Steam Punk"

I think that wood is an excellent material for building a robot.

Each cell pack is on it's own fuse ( safe)
but there is no "on board" BMS (not safe)
But, I use a "hobby charger" to balance the cells while charging (safe)
I can charge 4 packs at a time.

The 3 photo shows the 10 cell packs, inside the robot. The cells are not welded. This way, I can rearrange the cells to create a pack with similar cell internal resistance. Each "cell pack" holds 6 cells, 10 cell packs in total.

Do you have a project in mind for the Seeeduino? I always thought that the more i/o pins I had , the better. The first Arduino that I bought was a Arduino Mega 256, which now lives happily in my robot, Zoe. ZoeTheRobot.Net
