Writer of stuff. Thirtysomething old fuck. Weird Baltimore person. Just realized I could do this. Bask in my computer illiteracy: https://books2read.com/ap/nEJQpv/Zofia-Warwick Lover of most things puppetry related, offbeat, and anti-establishment.

Want to help Baltimore because some Russian plant is trying to go off half cocked against the city? Well, I can help you with that. Below are some beloved institutions here that could always use funds.

(Kind of want to challenge the horror community to write similar x-rated/not x-rated material to poke a little fun at advertising driven censorship. Sure, Revlon's probably not looking to sponsor Leatherface, but Leatherface needs a place to exist.)

Getting everything out of my head in a flurry while it's still fresh and then realizing I've peppered my doc with just the wildest typos. (Out for our seems to be a favorite.)

You should listen to them. My readers now have twinkling streams of urine so clear they rival springs in the Dolomite Alps.

Maybe make it a bit punchier with action: A hot, arid wind blew as Moonstone's sole (or central if it's in the middle of the city and there are more of them) clock tower chimed five bells. The suns were setting, low on the horizon beyond the city limits. (Etc. etc. from here on.)

Curiosity Never Killed the Writer has been recently indispensable for me. Also, there are a lot of mags that post contests/submission openings on here. (The list is exhaustive. Try a search leading with 'submissions.')

Guys: for your consideration, a vampire story.

#graphichorror #nobloodnoviolenceplsvampires #ijustdid
Backdrop: city and moon.
His teeth bore down, sharp ripping and rending the supple flesh.
Eyes dark with primordial hunger. The red juices ran.
The creature's lips twitched, and curled, and coveted.
The fruit opened, spilling its seed.
Wet dribbled down the foul creature's chin, and it nibbled greedily.
He wrestled with his terrible jaw and tried muscling it whole into his maw.
It was a tomato, and he was a squirrel.

There was a vampire present too, but it was off somewhere else, doing something too graphic for the page.

Drafting to be sure, coupled with researching. It's fun to have those manic bursts of authorial mightiness.

Identifying public officials isn't "doxing." People have the right to know who is working for their government. Nor, for that matter, is it "radical left-wing terrorism." So it's frustrating to see platforms caving to these bad faith characterizations. www.technologyreview.com/2025/10/06/1...
Another effort to track ICE raids was just taken offline
People over Papers was removed by Padlet, the platform it was built on, yesterday.

Shower thought of the day: why does aquatic mint toothpaste taste overwhelmingly of cucumber? Who's bringing the ocean life the land cucumber for them to get such a strong association with it?

Murderers.
Tell me why we should be afraid of immigrants when barbarians are homegrown & unleashed?

It's never going to stop being deeply upsetting to see how effective and far-reaching even a student protest is in say, a country like Serbia and then to see business as usual here despite the death toll and the abhorrent human rights abuses. The willful ignorance of our countrymen is chilling.

One of these days making something based in an SFX creature workshop would be outstanding.

I'd certainly write one that was more successful with the old humanities education, one that has retired at a young age to a houseboat drifting off some lovely intertidal archipelago in a damp but not agonizingly humid part of the world.

A while back I probably made mention of a script I wrote in the span of about a week. Here is said script, raw and wriggling. About a slasher and the joys of painting.

Can't see the harm. Recently finished a sextet of funny ghost stories as told through the lens of a wonky paranormal documentary, heavy on the weird, the irreverent, and the darkly humorous. It's like if The English Teacher met What We do in the Shadows. (Or so I've been told.) Link upon request.

Life feels disconnected from the here and now in the same oddly 90s nostalgic way as that recent tech demo for the Orchid Matt Berry and Jemaine Clement put out. If you haven't seen it, here's a refresher:

The last time a president and his cronies - including a young J. Edgar Hoover - tried to mass deport Americans they didn't like, the nation stopped them, as I discuss here.

Thank you for this, as always.

(On a side note: if you're relentlessly weird and a bit grim, and suddenly wanted to come in out of that indie rain, what agency would you query? Who would probably give you a fighting chance?)
