In its alleged fight against antisemitism, the Trump administration has relied on two groups with murky funders—one of which is in Israel.

Here's my deep dive @thebaffler.com into Canary Mission and Betar, two extreme Zionist groups at the heart of Trump's crackdown. thebaffler.com/latest/for-b...

The Trump Admin has portrayed Nick Sortor as mini-martyr to justify cracking down on anti-ICE protesters in Portland.

Meanwhile, Sortor is filing legal junk with the same lawyer used by Joey Gibson: a far-right activist who collaborated w/ Proud Boys to stage violent protests in Portland years ago

Identifying public officials isn't "doxing." People have the right to know who is working for their government. Nor, for that matter, is it "radical left-wing terrorism." So it's frustrating to see platforms caving to these bad faith characterizations. www.technologyreview.com/2025/10/06/1...
Another effort to track ICE raids was just taken offline

I'm sorry, but it's fucking crazy to pretend like some livestreaming loser who is taunting protesters while clutching a flag he stole from them is in Portland as a journalist.

BREAKING— David Ellison, CEO of Paramount Skydance, just sent out this email to Paramount employees re: The Free Press acquisition/Bari Weiss. Says she has passion for "rigorous, fact-based reporting & a relentless commitment to amplifying voices from all corners of the spectrum."

Text shared w me:
Dear Team Paramount:

I think we can all agree that the temperature of our nation's social discourse feels higher than ever. Too often, the space once reserved for thoughtful dialogue has been consumed by partisan division and hostile disputes. If we are to move forward, we must find our way back to the ideals that shaped both our country and civilization itself: open exchange of ideas, vigorous yet respectful debate, and a genuine regard for the beliefs and traditions of others.

This challenge extends to the media. While it was founded with the mission of informing the public and fostering discussion on the issues of the day, too often it has become a platform that amplifies the very partisanship tearing our society apart. George Washington warned that the primary danger in politics is partisanship. Today, that danger extends far beyond politics - threatening the fabric of our communities. When we reduce every issue to "us vs. them" or "my way vs. the wrong way," we close ourselves off from listening, learning, and ultimately growing, both as individuals and as a society.

I don't pretend to have a solution to this challenge. But I do believe we each have a responsibility to do our part. At Paramount, we have both a unique opportunity and an obligation as stewards of one of the most iconic and respected news organizations in the world. We are challenging ourselves to do better - recognizing that we have the ability to reach a broad audience and demonstrate constructive, respectful, and bipartisan dialogue in our own work.
Our mission is clear: to ensure that this global platform remains a place where people can seek the truth, gain understanding, and engage with the facts. That is our purpose.

With this in mind, I am excited to share that The Free Press is joining our Company. Since its launch just five years ago, The Free Press, under cofounder Bari Weiss' leadership,

Everyone is trying to have a normal Saturday night and the president's top advisor is on X announcing that civil war is necessary
@StephenM on X: Legal insurrection. The President is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, not an Oregon judge. Portland and Oregon law enforcement, at the direction of local leaders, have refused to aid ICE officers facing relentless terrorist assault and threats to life. (There are more local law enforcement officers in Oregon than there are guns and badges in the FBI nationwide). This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself.

Activists in L.A. identified this CBP officer earlier this yr. Today, he choked, body slammed and detained a young man in Chicago. What's particularly fashy about this moment is that CBP officers get to commit crimes w/ impunity and people who tell you their identities are charged with felonies.
A known CBP officer chokes a young man who said mean things to him. A post on IG that identifies the CBP officer who choked and assaulted the young man. It states "The Department of Homeland Security recently sent Meta a Subpoena demanding to identify @stopicenet , @longbeachrapidresponse , and other instagram accounts who reported on Simeon last month. The subpoena referenced a “criminal investigation” noting “officer safety / doxxing.”

A federal court has since issued a temporary order blocking the Subpoena from DHS.

This is certainly not the first time we have seen ICE / Border Patrol agents violently attack people for exercising their First Amendment rights. These attacks are part of a larger pattern of intimidation designed to “punish” anyone who speaks out against the unconstitutional and reckless raids currently occupying and terrorizing our communities.

It is your LEGAL RIGHT to observe, record and document any law enforcement activity in plainly visible spaces. We will continue exercising our First Amendment rights in the interest of free speech, legal transparency and public reporting.

Stay aware, stay alert, be vigilant.
Report ICE activity directly from your phone at WWW.STOPICE.NET / @stopicenet
Text “JOIN” to 877-322-2299 to get local alerts
Text “REPORT” to send an alert
Text “RADAR” w/ zipcode to check ICE activity nearby"
