Snapchat happened fairly soon after this post. Deleted FaceBook and Messenger a little while ago and I feel great!
Officially Twitter/X free. Followed everyone I wanted here, deactivated my account, and deleted the app. IG is gone after backing up photos, FaceBook and Messenger are next, with Snapchat soon after (because why not?).
Embracing this app just got a lot easier.

I want to say that I "forget it exists." . . . But it is in the same folder as The Other Place (some basic folder named "Socials"), and it comes before The Other Place alphabetically.

I think what I enjoy most sofar is the fact that I've found most of the people/pages I followed over There, everyone I've followed sofar (through search or suggestion) has been in line with the content I want to see, AND some of those I've chosen to follow have followed me back (a nice bonus).
Honestly, @bsky.app is really cool.
Haven't been here long, but I'm already happier and more at ease with the content I see and the control I have over what I see.
I also never had a presence over There, but here it might be possible. (So far we are not looking good. lol)
