The chapter is intended to contribute to the recently burgeoning literature on utopianism and political realism.

I know that 'utopia of fear' is the most painfully contrived joke, invoking Shklar's liberalism of fear endorsed also by Bernard Williams, but I needed it as a contrast to the radical realist 'utopia of hope.'

In fact it was the hill to die on for over 8 million people. Using this term metaphorically in this particular case seems simply heartless.
