heads up that bluesky doesnt show posts from other languages by default on your timeline, and its cutting you off from a lot of the community

go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!

Me when somebody recommends a show: "I'm not gonna start a show that has 3 seasons already"
Me also on occasion: "what if...I started One Piece..."

If you're not trans, I don't think I can fully explain how important this is.

It's so powerful that one of the most circulated science media publications in the world has come out and said "trans children are real and providing transition care improves their lives." That's groundbreaking.
The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

"We don't want to be Luddites --" brother, Luddites were opposed to bosses concentrating wealth by using technology to make inferior product with warehouses fulls of starving exploited child labor. You don't have to wear the team jersey but respect the game.

it is terrifying and awful that this passed the House with any Dem support at all (and once again, the continued leadership support for Cuellar is unconscionable)

call your senators and make absolutely sure this dies in the Senate, lives are on the line

trans people deserve so much better
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

Ok this post barely makes sense, important context: we have 2 dogs, one is well behaved and the other will run off on an adventure at the first chance. Well behaved dog was waiting in the front garden, idiot dog was missing
Oh my god I've had a hell morning, get up for work and as I'm going out to my car and one of our dogs is standing in the front yard shaking and exhausted, look over and the side gate is hanging wide open, cue 4 hours of driving in circles, walking in circles, calling vets

Sachets are the worst cat food delivery method, while you struggle with the already impossible task of extracting the maximum contents you have a beast whose entire body surface is a gravy magnet sticking their whole head directly in the flow
