I got a kitchen timer and put it by my computer. I give myself 10mins to web browse and doom… and then I set it to 30 minutes and just put words on the page.

Ross here. Coming up on the end of the rough draft of the second book in my vampire detective series. As someone who loved Forever Knight it's been a ton of fun getting to play in this genre. I've got work on some of the mystery elements but I think otherwise I'm set for release this fall.

Have you heard anyone explain how this works financially for MS? Because the model was: we sell you this subsidized box, and make up for it in game sales. - But if there are third party stores on the box itself, how will they make money on those game sales (and avoid losing sales to EGS & Steam)?

Do you attribute any of this success to MS shooting themselves in the foot over and over with Xbox?

Oh this is the end goal for the Uber model. Getting rid of all those pesky human drivers. It’s awful and goes with one of my wife’s favorite sayings, “Who are all these companies going to sell their products to after they’ve laid off everyone in favor of AI?”

My wife has ridden in one a couple times during work trips to SF. She says its pretty good.

There’s core design choices that seem bigger than a simple update, so that doesn’t seem likely. I think more likely is that the game finds players over time and lifetime sales tickle upward. Depends on what they ship this year though. And competition. Looks like a crazy big year for Xbox + GTA6.

Fuck your reign in bullshit. Abolish ICE!

Not great marketing, weird rollout, that awful press event that left everyone thinking it had companions, and the to me baffling decision to call it Metroid Prime 4 instead of giving it a name more friendly to new players who probably didn’t catch MP 1-3.
