Working on writing the rough draft of Vampire Detective Agency: Double Date. I hate this part. I love plotting and outlining. I love refining and editing. I hate starting with a blank page and writing the first rough draft.

Yeah, people are fixating on a Cabinet Secretary being given a sovereign country to run because the president waged war without congressional approval and kidnapped the old leader. Weird that they’d get hung up on that.
WELKER: Mr. Secretary, are you running Venezuela right now?

MARCO RUBIO: Yeah. People are fixating on that. Here's the bottom line -- we expect to see changes in Venezuela

Chuck Schumer fucking sucks. Put him in the dictionary next to spineless
Asked about the possibility of impeachment, Schumer says "we hope that we can have support from our Republican colleagues to put a brake on this long before it gets that far"

As an aside, I do think it’s worth noting that the current US admin illegally invaded another country and “arrested” (kidnapped) its president before it arrested anyone on the Epstein list.

I think it’s unfair to claim that Trump is only attacking Venezuela because he wants to sell their oil to his rich friends. It’s also possible Trump is attacking Venezuela because he wants to sell their children to his rich friends.

Just to be clear… because Trump is clearly a corrupt fascist who steals elections and is a danger to the world…

and we just decided that it’s okay for other countries to go in and kidnap leaders like that…

it’s game on for anyone to come into the US and pull that, right? Canada? Denmark? S’up?

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

What the fuck. Trump is claiming the U.S. military captured a sitting head of state in his own country, with no extradition process & no legal authority.

No matter what you think of Maduro, that’s absolutely insane behavior—and a precedent that should alarm anyone who cares about international law.

I’m not sure how to even express my feelings at how absolutely terrifying what Trump is doing right now. It’s so blatantly illegal, intentionally so, and so flagrant and disgusting. Fuck this man, and fuck this country’s imperial machine.

Elon Musk's accomplishments over the last year include starving thousands of people to death (and laughing about it) and creating Hitler AI that undresses children (and laughing about it). Is it time to do something about billionaires yet?

Work on the rough draft of Vampire Detective Agency: Double Date continues. The first chapter is… there. Runs too long currently, but that’s always a better place to be than too short.

Yes, if you speak out against ICE they'll say you're a lunatic who wants to open the floodgates to scary immigrants. The correct response isn't cowering in a corner, it's asking whether people want to be terrorized by armed masked thugs as a part of daily life

Slowly being driven mad by how Apple fucked up the search function in their apps in iOS 26. Sometimes you click the magnifying glass and it opens the search bar with the cursor ready for you to type. Other times it opens the search bar... but you have to tap into it before you can start typing.

I sold my books at a holiday market today and I can't tell you how many people I talked to who said they wished they read more (or any) books and I am begging everyone to read more books. You don't even have to buy them. Just go to the library. It will be so good for your brain.
