Conceptually, I am in favor of doing this but this bill does not return any money to states or taxpayers. And doesn't specify where the functions go post-termination. This should NOT be left to the Executive branch. This is more lazy legislation out of Congress.

I don't think saying the risk far outweighs the benefit is helpful here. Why not post the actual data that was used to arrive at that characterization? I've gotten sick more times from Sushi than raw dairy. I still choose pasteurized, but I believe the risk is overstated. Both are relatively low.

Same problem as with the porn ban--Virginia doesn't have jurisdiction over "most" of the internet. Might get some traction with US-based platforms, but then you'll the sub-18 cohort will move 2foreign-based platforms&VPNs. Many parents become complacent or disengage with regards to internet safety.
