One of Russia’s main supply routes from China has been shut down. From today, the border with Kazakhstan is fully stopped.. over 5,000 trucks are stuck, inspections are ongoing, and goods are being confiscated. Drones, EW gear, batteries, components, nothing is getting through.

In everyday language, союз simply describe things joined, bound, or grouped together — which makes the political use, as in "Union of Republics" semantically loaded and somewhat deceptive: it sounds cooperative but implies binding together under force.

Fun fact: While in Russian, the word Союз comes from the verb соединять - "to join" or "to unite", in many other Slavic languages it has a meaning of "something tied up", so instead of the union, it reflected the real truth: countries occupied, involuntarily attached by the terrorist Moscow regime.

That is so common in these regimes. "Truth" is full of lies, "Democratic People’s Republic of Korea" is neither democratic, nor people-governed, nor a republic, "Workers’ Party" was typically run by elite bureaucrats, or "People’s Armed Police" in China is used to crush dissent and protests.

People vote for ANO because Babiš embodies control, stability, and defiance — qualities that appeal strongly in times of uncertainty, even if his record is highly controversial.

Combined with weak opposition, because they're not such arseholes like ANO/Babiš, and had bad luck with timing.

It's complicated. According to a recent poll, 45% are pro-West, only 5% are pro-ruZZians, and the rest - neither, they just want to be Czechs. People voted for ANO because they promised cheap everything for elderly, they admire Babiš for his money.

My father hates Putin and ruZZians as they destroyed his youth in 1968. He hates communists as they destroyed his parents' livelihood in 1948. Yet he votes Babiš for to me unknown reasons. Grumpy old man who has his mind made up. I could only text him about Babiš going with Putin and communists.
