and yeah there are some issues with this game but having just finished Let's Go, there's been clear improvement in 8 years. I am not looking at it thinking of it as a stepdown from the DS games and my enjoyment of it improved vastly. Especially as a X/Y sequel, which is what started all this mess 🗿

honestly my only gripe with this game's battle system is how clunky using healing items can be - often you end up spamming the menu button but it's locked because it's on cooldown or waiting for your attack to finish

just steal the quick heal shortcuts on the crosspad from similar games tbh

like this game has actual boss battles. they're involved and can be challenging. Bananza didn't have that until the near end of the game. never in my life would i have expected a Pokemon game to get one up on an in-house Nintendo game
