I love how Lazarus' head bandage appearing and disappearing is a plot point, but Lazarus' shitty facial hair changing almost shot to shot is just because they had bad makeup.

I mean, I think the word "scam" is definitely too strong, yeah, but I also think they've fairly obviously settled into a development pattern where "1.0" or even "progress towards 1.0" are no longer goals.

Everyone *hates* the Carsteins. Because they keep trying to take over the Imperial elections and if they won there'd never be another one and they refuse to acknowledge that as a real political concern. Also something something the blood of the living something I guess? That part's less important.

I get how writing the names of magazines and strips works and shouldn't have italics or quotes, but I definitely initially misparsed "Darkie's Mob in Battle" as a strip called "Mob in Battle" by somebody with the last name "Darkie".

It's wild how much better "episodes, with an arc" is than "an 8-16h movie, sliced into 1h chunks", and it's even more wild how few shows do the former these days.

IMO it's basically demonstrating that going out on an *impeccable* last quarter can make people (myself included) really really like it, even if most of the movie could best be described as "messy".
