Johannes Høsflot Klæbo became the most successful Winter Olympian by winning a record ninth Olympic gold, leading Norway to relay victory at the Milano–Cortina Games on Sunday, 15 February.

Of course I’m biased because I’m Italian, but it’s incredible that Federica Brignone, “la tigre”, won TWO Olympic gold medals about 10 months after a terrible injury that for many would mean never walking again. This is one of the biggest comebacks in professional skiing. 🇮🇹

The beauty of the Olympics is that I can become personally invested in a sport or an athlete I know nothing about. I watched the Women’s Skeleton last night and was genuinely happy for a 36 year old Austrian woman I had never heard of. Janine Flock has her gold.
