##NaNoWriMo
I have a thing about numbers. Today, I wrote 3048 words this morning for a chapter. Then added a few more words to reach 3408 words without meaning to. And when I added all today's words, my total was 3633 for a grand #NaNoWriMo total so far of 35636! 😆 The future is numbers! 😝 #SFF

I've been whining and complaining since I got up. This word sprint is what I needed to finish today's chore...I mean, chapter. 😏 #NaNoWriMo

On day 11 of #NaNoWriMo I wrote 1731 words. (18892/50000)

The witches had a rough night and one of them is not a morning person. (I feel very 2D today. :D) #writingchallenge #novelnovember #writingcommunity #writersky #art #aquarell #watercolor

Liverpool November Writing Challenge Day 11. Six chapters to go. Making gargantuan steps every day. I desperately hope I can finish this draft by mid-December so I can take a break for a bit, even if I'm having a great time :') #amwriting #nanowrimo

#nanowrimo daily update

Start: 20,008
Target: 23,019
Actual: 21,606

I didn't feel like writing today. I managed to meet my daily goal of 1,500 despite the distraction and blah.

It's a sign the writing muscles are growing

Word counts aren’t everything! Here’s why I write chapters by intuition—not numbers. If you’re a neurodivergent or non-traditional writer, this is your permission slip to find your own process. #WritingCommunity #NaNoWriMo #NeurodivergentWriters
You Don’t Have to Write by the Numbers: How I Find My Chapters (and Why That’s Enough)
Every November, my feeds fill up with NaNoWriMo updates—word counts, progress bars, group sprints. I see questions everywhere: “How many words should a chapter be?” “How do I hit my daily target?” And every year, I remember: I’m just not built for that. Here’s why. For me, a chapter isn’t about word count, or page numbers, or some secret formula for “how long it should be.” It’s more like an episode in a TV series playing out in my mind.

Completely forgetting that November is oftentimes a big month in the writing world ( #NaNoWriMo ) I set up my own 10-week wordcount deadline that expires on Thanksgiving Day and... what can I say! Likely won't be making this deadline either. But luckily will have lots of consolation pie at the ready

#NovelNovember Day 11

Often the skipped lines are hiding a quiet truth. Those lines ask us to pause and listen to what they're saying.

Day 10: 598 words

Mysaln clicked his tongue. “Please, girl—Zandar took the time to inform me of your distaste for blood. ‘Potentially problematic,’ he said. Be glad that I am aware of this inclination of yours away from violence or else I might consider this little display a threat."

Just over 2000 words, good
OK 2500 words a day is a nice amount.
Let's be realistic "Better than yesterday's average" it is.
Ah, this is creeping up to--
NOT 3000 WORDS A DAY. Seriously.

Maybe I'm the only person who's ever done #Nanowrimo & worried about wrting too many words a day

NaNo Day 10: 15,084 (vs 16,666).

Remaining a day behind (-1,582) but feeling good about progress.

Day 10 wordcount total: 94 words. That may not seem like much, and it's not really, but it's something and I was able to fix some of the chaos from yesterday. Gotta love migraines! #nanowrimo2025 #amwriting #nanowrimo #nowrimo #WritingCommunity

If you wanted to participate in #nanowrimo but writing a whole ass novel is too daunting and you'd like to focus on short stories - I'm working on a thing with my friend centered around just that. Let me know if you'd like a beta invite!

#NaNoWriMo Day 10 - 33,052
#NaNoWriMo Day 9 - 29,706.
#NaNoWriMo Day 8 - 24,326. I've been struggling with a scene and it took a solid half dozen rewrites to get it to something I can move on from. This isn't including all the stuff I cut and rewrote.

We just sent out a week two #NaNoWriMo pep talk to our mailing list subscribers. If you missed it, you can find the link through NaNo2.0rg to make sure you don't miss out on news and writing pep talks. Otherwise, keep writing!

1,545 words for the night. #nanowrimo

One of the things I truly appreciate about TrackBear.app is the ability to select the date of the progress entered. I often only have the latest hours to write. Yes, it's technically tomorrow but this progress was for yesterday.

It's... calming?

#NaNoWriMo day 11: 1906 words. It should be more, I don't know what the fuck came over me today but I had to rewrite a lot, the scenes just weren't coming together in a way that satisfied me. But those words are erased so who knows.
