Governor Gavin Newsome 1021 O Street, Suite 9000 Sacramento, CA 95814 February 19, 2025 Dear Governor Newsome, You are cordially invited to be the featured speaker at an event we’re calling Filing 2024 Taxes During the DOGE Era! It is our hope that it would be an informational event focused on advising your constituents as to best strategies for filing 2024 Federal taxes. Frankly, the goal of the invitation and the event are for the creation of a California-wide trust fund for residents to deposit Federal tax payments when they are due, into a system that we can rely upon as fiscally responsible and trustworthy. DOGE incursions into the IRS, Social Security and Treasury departments make paying taxes to any of those entities untenable – at least until lawsuits, and accompanying dust is settled. Your audience for this event is any person or entity that is required to pay Federal taxes and resides in California, so conservatively speaking, and limiting the audience to California, you are looking at ~ 3 million people hearing your words.
