Not a good look especially since some of those child sex predators are still alive.
This is so indefensibly insane: Speaker Johnson is refusing to seat Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva because she'll be the 218th vote to release the Epstein files. Johnson swore in Rep Walkinshaw (VA) w/in 24 hours.

Johnson is abandoning his job to instead protect a convicted child sex predator

See, I have this thing for history. I have read it, watched documentaries about it, and now at my age, I've even lived it. I do like to see technology catching up with the Bad Guys. In some cases, (such as murder) naming and shaming is a Very Good Thing. #Nazis www.theguardian.com/world/2025/o...

Coming up in '70s - 80s in L.A., USC was the 'University of Spoiled Children' to my crowd. Nothing's changed. #USC can't take Trump's offer - they would lose 25% of their budget for the year - unless what he threatens them with would them cost more than that. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Sometimes I think a major reason non-Autistic people find Autistic people so unsettling is we often just fully reject social norms that we think are bullshit.

It makes us harder to control.
Maybe it's partly because I'm Autistic and grown and also jaded and also unable to do gainful employment that I'm aware I don't have to feel like this "civility" thing everyone else thinks is a universal marker for "goodness" actually is that.

I already know many social rules are awful underneath.
The way folks keep trying to redefine "civility" to make it mean "prosocial stuff".

No, when the folks talk about harmful stuff being said with civility, they're right about what civility means.

It means within the bounds of social norms set out by the powerful. It doesn't mean "correct".
