I couldn't stop thinking about this so let's go: It's 1942, shortly after the events of Pearl Harbor. Cpt Joss Tyr is one of several naval aviators under the command of Admiral Balduran. They're part of the western fleet that fights their way to the Pacific islands aboard the USS Wanderer.

I love how the Emperor/Balduran insists he HAD to show up disguised for your trust when the reality is that you'd recognize him as the asshole sticking parasites inside of folk if you saw him right after

But in Act 2/3, after all the shit you've seen? You aren't gonna remember shit to recognize him

AU: Before the city, the stories & Ansur, Balduran was just a young man exploring Anchorome for the 1st time with Joss, who lived there. They often joked about throwing each other overboard, & got polymorphed in some misadventures. These jokes later confirmed Emperor's true identity to him.

Oh, I love their dyes! I requested he do the Milil one a while back, and I adore his Loviatar for my Durge and Balduran for my Tav.

My mod unlocks all the vanilla dyes to be infinite use and gives you a big pot with all of them in the tutorial chest, but the color combos on those can be bizarre.

One of the AU ideas I had was this version of him being buddies with Balduran when the latter first visited Anchronome. Bad things happen & he gets Minsc-ed (petrified). 400 yrs later he's freed. He decides to go visit his friend's little fishing village, but finds his city - and he's a squid now 🥴

I love Wyll but this covers so much of why his arc feels weird to me—he ends up tied into so many aspects of Act 3 (freeing Ravenguard from Cult control, the revelations about Balduran, the "happy" resolution to Karlach's story, etc) but none of them ever actually center him or his conflict

According to the old canon, Balduran became a werewolf first, and then somehow also became an Illithid.

And as for demons... is there even one demon-Illithid in the FR canon? In any case, Xal isn't very interested in demons.
