#BanChemicalWeaponsNow
Already messaged my Rep, Dr. Dexter, but I'm calling all three in the morning. Seems like this is the time to push to abolish DHS, or at least #BanChemicalWeaponsNow. We Portlanders saw the abuses from PPB in 2020, we're seeing it, again, but we don't have to live with it forever. We can change laws

Yet another example of why we need to press our electeds to #BanChemicalWeaponsNow. Just ban it, nationwide, on US streets, as it's banned in war.

It doesn't have to suck. We can make it suck less if we try.

Ah, Tear Gas Teddy, who didn't even fire the chief of the police bureau after they tear gassed two neighborhoods in Portland. He was an empty suit and scion of a timber family, but he and his PPB goons radicalized me into my one primary political mission: #BanChemicalWeaponsNow. Truly clarifying.

It's clear these forces can't be trusted to use chemical weapons against their fellow Americans, just as they couldn't in the UC Davis incident or when PPB gassed two neighborhoods in Portland in 2020. Since they can't or won't use them safely, we need to call our electeds and #BanChemicalWeaponsNow

Of course cops deploy chemical weapons at whim. I learned this when the PPB gassed my neighborhood five years ago, then did it again a couple weeks later in a different area of town.

We need to #BanChemicalWeaponsNow to protect ourselves from the cops at all levels.

It's a pattern years long.

Solidarity from PDX, where I learned that lesson when our own PPB gassed 2 neighborhoods in a month back in 2020, even with video of a mother yelling out a window that her kids were trying to sleep in the house, please don't deploy gas on the street; they did, anyway. Fuckers

Yup! I remember the pictures from 2019 in PDX from an ER of the wound in the back of a protester's head where a PPB officer shot him as he fled. Only thing that saved him was the bike helmet he was wearing, which still had the canister embedded in it when he got to the ER.
