My favorite one I can't get as it was a one summer special, in a temporary canvas tent restaurant setup to make money off a road construction crew, near Bannack, Montana. It had a dog that roamed the tent.

They aren't my pictures, but it is one of the most famous buildings in Bannack, Montana. It even served as a place for the territorial legislature to meet. Eventually the county seat moved from Bannack to Dillon, and the current county courthouse which dates to 1890 is pictured below.

There's a UK writer who lost me when she said they took a "detour" from Vegas to Denver that took them through Bannack, a ghost town in Montana. That's a 700 mile "detour"! It doubled the trip! Lost all faith in the book itself.
