I check FB every so often because our local newspaper sucks, and this am, some dude from Louisiana on our local MT group wanting to know about "good neighborhoods with pools" who might be interested in swim lessons. In a working class RR town in MT.
Dude! Do your research FFS.

For the first time in 16 years, Himself cut me a tree that fits in the space! It's not too big! It's lovely.
Tomorrow, I'll decorate.

New people in town posting on IG about "supporting small business" and said business is a place that's selling $1K cowboy hats.
YELLOWSTONE WAS A TV SHOW! FICTION!
Go the fuck back to where you came from gentrifiers.

Do I want an Xmas tree today? Not really, but when your dude wants to hike up and cut you one and bring it to your house it would be churlish to say no. (Repeat annually).

#Stoppard was asked an interview when R&G was premiering in NYC, "What's your play about?" He said, "It's about to make me very rich."

We had a delightful holiday, but I am such a creature of routine and habit that I am thrilled to be back to normal.

Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday shopping isn't part of my culture. My first real experience was the Thanksgiving at MIL's lake house after she'd remarried. The adult stepdaughters "had" to woof down turkey then drive to Branson to get in line at outlet mall, Walmart. It was rude, ruined MIL's day.

I cannot fully express how disappointed I am that walking daily on my infernal treadmill is actually making me feel better. Like, I was Very Crabby yesterday afternoon, and 40 minutes of walking + cheesy French TV actually improved my outlook.
It's such a scam.

Have not willingly eaten pumpkin pie since our first Thanksgiving with dad post divorce (1973) when he didn't cook the frozen pumpkin pie all the way through and I had a tummy ache and nightmares all night long. I was nine.

If you want to see how quickly everyone goes into manufacturing consent mode, compare the full-court press tonight to the response to any of the people ICE has shot in the last few months, some of whom died.

The World’s Goodest Boy(👇) was half Pyr, and I cannot recommend the breed/mixes enough. Friendly, lazy, easy-going nature and usually great with kids (as well as other animals). If you have room in your heart and your yard - take a chance on one of these good boys/girls. You won’t find a better dog.

Donations of money, rather than food, help food banks to feed more people and help to keep them resourced through the summer months, when kids are out of school and need for food assistance is greatest.

I see more and more London restaurants and Instagram accounts about food to advertise British Bluefin tuna. This species only recently returned to British waters. It's a wild megafauna species which we should protect, not fish and kill maybe? I'm a bit conflicted

We should be celebrating the revival of the bluefin tuna – but a ravenous fishing industry is already licking its lips, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

If you're not (necessarily) having people over but you do have time off and you're a dog friendly person, I recommend giving a dog (or dogs) a shelter break this holiday season. It can be for as little as 2 nights!
