I can’t argue with that. I think looking back it was helpful as the perspective I got on Potter because of Blackeyes put a question mark against the male-dominated television drama I’d previously been a bit dumb about.

I hadn't seen Blackeyes since it's original broadcast, and remembering the hopeless contemporary press coverage I was hoping for a revelation. But it really isn't very good at all, mainly due to Potter's mad directorial choices killing the thing stone dead.
