However, that concludes my live reaction to the chapter! I hope ya all enjoyed it and I’ll see you next month! 💜

Ryu using a thorn bulb to confirm whether he can trust shinobi as a bait was crazy good too!
I’ve overload of information that could turn into full-fledged story/character analysis on its own right now.

And Matsuri flipping out on Konohamaru. Sarada group was chill and picked up at the end with this cliffhanger. Gosh, I have a newfound appreciation for Araya’s character in the manga rn.

Chapter Afterthoughts:
I think the parts in the Sand village was a nice breather with all the Kawaki bombshell revelations, which was honestly the best part of it for me. Of course, I did love Konotsuri conversation with Moegi smiling flashback!

Apparently it’s double-betrayal on both fronts and Ryu used his iron sand to control Sarada’s and Yodo movements. Araya is the MVP for sealing the iron style via a jutsu he created together with Shinki. The chapter ends with Ryu complaint this isn’t fair.

Anyway, Ryu baits the group with his thorn bulb, while Yodo rushes out at him and ends up not being able to move. Guys… You weren’t that subtle, y’know. Especially Yodo wasn’t. It’s no wonder Ryu caught on about what you were trying to do.

There’s another transition where we move again to Sarada’s group. Sarada’s group is the Sand Mission squad, Sumire group is Kawaki and Amado, Boruto’s group is him with Kashin Koji and Konotsuri duo is Matsuri and Konohamaru from now on in this arc.

Speaking of Konohamaru… He’s so bad at this…! I’m amazed he didn’t make this mistake sooner tbh. His flashback of Moegi smile makes up for it for me, since Moegi looked gorgeous in that one panel. It’s okay, bro. Navigating love-matters is complicated.

Huh. So Shinju can get envious of people who created them and are stuck in a tree? That’s just another confirmation we should treat zombified tree people and Shinju as separate characters with their own feelings.

The scene transitions to Konohamaru and Matsuri. She fangirls about it being the best day of her life until Konohamaru asks her not to call him Konohamaru-chan. Matsuri blushing stops and she gets furious/jealous of Moegi.

…While ignoring people who genuinely care about him, potential defensive powers that can be useful and going only with offensive ones. There’s a possibility him agreeing to the deal with Amado on any terms is a foolish talk in general.

Also the title of the chapter might also refer to how Kawaki-Amado negotiations is a talk of the fools. In the sense that reviving someone who already died is a fool’s errand, regardless of the contract terms. It might also refer to Kawaki disregarding his own life…

*In-depth understanding of Kawaki’s views on Otsutsuki and situation and his disregard for his own life. And how he views himself as a monster.
*She knows about Kawaki’s potential upcoming power-up.

Besides, can we talk about how poor Sumire witnesses this batshit insane exchange?! There’s so many info she got just by being there:
*Kawaki shutdown code.
*Knowledge that karma can resurrect Akebi body in a tube.

However, Kawaki’s death has a drastic impact on the entire universe based on Kashin Koji’s predictions, so him being alive is very important. I honestly think Boruto will go with the direction Otsutsuki dying doesn’t solve anything — they can move to another vessel.

Obviously Amado’s not happy with this turn of events and counters by saying his dreams would die if Kawaki did. Of course, in true Kawaki fashion he doesn’t care about surviving. It’s the same guy who plans to kill himself after all Otsutsuki are wiped out.

She’s present during all those revelations for a reason. That’s what my gut feeling tells me.
😱 Kawaki says he can’t accept Amado terms. Not until he’s sure the current enemies are wiped out, since he doesn’t want to create a new foe.

Amado claps back by saying he’ll protect his daughter, regardless of what she turns into. Scary. Well, at least he’s kind of a good dad? Idk. I love how Sumire sees everything going down here and says nothing. I’m 💯% certain she’ll get involved in this plot-thread.

Kawaki warns Amado that if his revived daughter turns into an Otsutsuki he’ll kill her without exceptions. It makes sense he said that considering he’s willing to kill Boruto who’s much closer to him than Amado’s daughter.

Delta who’s based on the image of his daughter too, who’s to say he’ll accept the real one? Would Akebi even want to be revived by him? I can only see it ending in tragedy. The line Amado has about Gods here are so, so intriguing it needs its own analysis!

Amado agrees to modify Kawaki’s body to a full offensive power, but there’s catch. Kawaki needs to implant his Karma into body vessel Amado prepared for ‘Akebi.’ This man obsession with reviving his daughter is frightening. If he can’t accept Delta…

Either way, I’ll not know what happens right after because the next page cuts back to Sumire and Kawaki where Kawaki wakes up and Amado tells him not to flip out.

I doubt Shinju would want to turn into a thorn bulb willingly. It’s too dangerous for them. Besides, Sarada’s question could potentially set-off Ryu here and make him stop seeing their group on a friendly terms with common goals. That was high-risk-high-reward play.

Ryu explains what we already as readers kind of know. That Boruto’s knows too many things about Shinju like Thorn Bulbs and Jura wants to kill him.
Sarada plays a dangerous game by suggesting using a thorn bulb to lure out Boruto.
