Images of Strike Team 9140C, who has been out of Unit supporting operations in Northern California since July 6. The crews started out on the #BridgeFire in Humboldt County before moving over to the #GreenFire to support operations there being led by the @ShastaTrinityNF.

#WatchDuty app just sent a notice saying the #BridgeFire has jumped Hwy 2 near Inspiration Point. We live in Pinon Hills.

We're still waiting for them to call off the evacuation warning. Still packed and ready to bolt. It's very smoky today but we can't see the fire anymore. Read they have some containment now so thats good. #bridgefire

Just a few minutes ago the county ordered evacuation of Wrightwood, a town at 10,000 feet in the mountains, which is also in our school district. Here’s a screenshot of wind direction. #BridgeFire
He screenshot from the weather app showing the direction of the wind in this area. The town of Wrightwood is shown on this map, and my location is indicated, too. Fortunately, we are in a bit of a “rain-shadow” here at our house. So the smoke is not coming directly at us, the bulk of it is to the west of us. We have about 30% of clear sky to the east of us.
