Here's something I haven't put online before! #Blakes7 Redemption, in TC6 on 8-10th September 1978. Vere Lorrimer also shot the Liberator sequences for Killer in this session. The other sets visible are the Spaceworld Command Centre, the Detention Cell, and Roy Evans' Tiny Lift. #CGSets

Transmat control and the Lab set #DoctorWho #CGSets 5/7

The Black Guardian Trilogy - the studio sessions (Part 2)
Mawdryn Undead, TC8, 22-24th September 1982.

Day 1 of the second block began with the first of several remounts, with Mawdryn's TARDIS scenes re-done with improved exposed-brain make-up!

Other sets included Mawdryn's luxurious Queen Mary-esque ship – a huge composite set – and a return to the Transmat capsule. A CSO area with black drapes was erected for work with the Black Guardian. #DoctorWho #CGSets 2/7

However, problems with the Kamelion prop had necessitated a remount of The King's Demons first, so the two-day session in TC1 was extended by a day, and the King's Chamber set was re-erected on the 16th. The prop worked much better this time. #DoctorWho #CGSets 2/6

However, this two-day session had even more issues! The Kamelion prop had significant problems, and after two days, recording was incomplete. The season would require yet another remount, in the slot originally planned for a Dalek story... 5/6 #DoctorWho #CGSets

The Gallifrey set was a composite of the Council chamber, game room, and some very 1980s corridors with a built-in fountain. #DoctorWho #CGSets 5/9

However, Terminus was not yet finished, so the two-day block of 19-20th was preceded on the 18th by a remount. The Liner set was erected for a third time (!) in amongst the medieval sets, so Terminus could be completed. TARDIS corridor scenes were also recorded. 2/6 #DoctorWho #CGSets
