Natuurlijk is het heel goed dat Hugo Bos van Civitas Christiana direct enthousiast is. Dan is het meteen duidelijk wat voor soort (enge) club het is/wordt. Het heeft in elk geval niets, maar dan ook niets met 'christelijk' te maken..

No, but I also love people and love public spaces and generally love crowds. On occasion when I'm taking public transit home from an event/non-routine day I'll get a feeling I call "civitas" when I'm just chatting and meeting new people from all backgrounds.

The family structures do vary a lot in whole of Mesia, there's especially big differences between the Angusian Empire and Dir'ahin, since the former is a patriarchy and the latter a matriarchy.

The Ahinians live in South-Dirahin with a bit of them on the side of Cabalusia. Cerfis live in Cabalusia, while a bit of the live on the side Víren. Lamibians live in Víren, and a bit on the coast of Cabalusia and Horegtos. Hérénians also live in Víren, mostly concentrated on the coast and in the isle of Lèjó-Sív-noé-Weun. Dagans live in the Dragon Back Mountains and therefore in every province. Furuags live in the highlands of Angusia and Horegtos. Kirenians live in the western lowlands of Horegtos, and a bit on the side of Víren as well. Nirjamians live in the southeast of Horegtos on boths sides of the Narrow Sea. Angusians live in Angusia, and in the Green Sea coast of Cabalusia, and are the most numerous people in the capital area Civitas. There's a bit of Varos people living in the northern part of Cabalusian's Green Sea coast. Merusians live in Merus, parts of which belong to the eastern end of Horegtos (the rest belonging to Manoa). Avitius I was the first emperor of the Angusian Empire. He conquered the western parts of Horegtos, Chanercian Lowlands (western parts of Cabalusia) and Virén, rode a dragon to battles and build the capital of the Angusian Empire, Civitas. He is considered to be 1/6

Reminds me of how when you bind the Amulet of Nature to the herb patch in Varlamore, it'll say "I am bound to your somewhere" instead of "I am bound to your herb patch near Civitas illa Fortis".

Happens for different reasons, but equally unhelpful

For context here's a map of the Angusian Empire and it's provinces.

There have been multiple ancient civilizations in that area. Most notable ones are the Horegtosian Empire which lasted a millenium, starting from over 3000 years ago, and at most covered everything south 1/

Clubjes als civitas christiana krijgen ook veel geld uit het buitenland en kopen daarmee ophef en invloed.

When Freedom Forgets Its Anchor Let me try explaining our current woes with some metaphors. To the Founding Fathers, being a liberal meant something very different from what it means today. In their time, liberal meant believing that freedom was a sacred flame. One that could light a nation, but only if tended with discipline, virtue, and reason. They knew liberty was like fire: harnessed, it warms a civilization; unrestrained, it consumes it. Today, that word has drifted far from its moorings. Modern liberalism often seeks freedom from order itself. It means freedom without boundaries, duty, or truth. The Founders would not have called that liberty. They’d have called it license. A wild horse that mistakes running in circles for progress. The same energy that once built this nation now works to unmake it. It’s the same raw spirit (defiant, restless, unyielding) that once overthrew tyrants and crossed oceans. But that spirit has been turned inward. The hammer that once forged a republic now swings at its own foundations. Somewhere along the way, that energy was unmoored from discipline and moral law. Self-determination became self-indulgence. The power that once built cities, wrote constitutions, and preserved faith now burns with the same zeal, but for causes that dissolve the culture that gave it life. The tragedy isn’t that people want freedom. It’s that they’ve forgotten what sustains it. Freedom without virtue is like a ship without a keel. It might move fast, but it cannot steer. The same spirit that demands freedom can, when unanchored by discipline or moral law, destroy the very institutions that safeguard it. Classical liberalism was about freedom within a moral framework . Specifically duty, virtue, and reason. When that framework erodes, freedom mutates into license, and license always burns the house down. When a society forgets this, it repeats the oldest story in history: The garden that forgets to weed itself eventually becomes the jungle …

A certain site in Dorset has been in the news this week for its imminent TV appearance, so for #EpigraphyTuesday here is evidence that those Durotriges got everywhere! In the wonderful museum at Chesters on Hadrian's Wall, recording their building work. 1/3
