Many locals don't realise how devoid of native biodiversity the #CanterburyPlains are compared to the rest of NZ. Showing school kids how to look after & increase the wildlife that's left.

#nativebiodiversity onfarm in NZ is also on the rise. On the #CanterburyPlains there has been a steady increase in native biodiversity planting for hedge rows & shelter belts. More native plants = more native birds which displace crop damaging exotic birds. Win/win
