If we actually have a supply problem for Li in the next years, it would be a good idea to keep Li for EVs and use only Na for stationary storage.

"Unshackled from established fossil-fuel industries and outdated technologies, these countries show how the global south is starting to move faster in the renewables transition than wealthier nations such as Australia."

It's a different world. Choose the future or get left in the past.

Great read.
As happened going from no phones to mobiles, developing countries in the global south are now going straight to #renewables and missing out the #FossilFuel step. Everyone now has access to cheap power - could this see a global power shift.

Good morning with good news: China's electric heavy trucks sales skyrocket, bad news for diesel and LNG demand.

EV heavy truck market share surged to 22% in first half of 2025 from 9% in 2024! EV market share jumped 139%.

A movie that takes place where you’re from?

The submarine scene was shot down the road in a small lake in Manurewa, where I was living at the time.

Very much a case of a fossil government cheerleading for the dinosaur NZ auto, and oil, industries. When 'dirty old Aussie' is trumping us in terms of renewable generation and EV uptake rate It's now getting to the point where this is downright embarrassing to be a Kiwi.

Mediawatch: Angst over EVs blows up in headlines
EV uptake boomed with incentives in place, but this week, the government made traditional cars cheaper instead.

That so much locally grown rice in Aus is exported, while the local market is catered for by another countries exports - that got me.
That Aussie rice is lower #methane than many other countries but that had never been acknowledged or celebrated. 🧐

My story of an Aussie farmer who is turning his lower #methane emissions rice into a new business/brand for the local market, instead of export.

An adapter could see you cooking lunch, recharging the chainsaw battery or running a myriad of other electric tools off the vehicle. 👍
