Some of these batteries just impress me. I have a CompuAdd 386 from, 1990 i wanna say or 1991. It still holds a charge and runs off of the battery. My powerbook 3400c is Lithium, and it does the same. Still charges and runs off of the battery.

Oh man, those are both adorable. That CompuAdd looks really interesting!

First computer for the house was a TI 99/4a. We got it for Christmas. My dad had programmed, in assembler, a Christmas tree that twinkled and played a Christmas song.

The first computer that I actually owned was an IBM PC XT, a family machine replaced by a CompuAdd 386.

I can't help remembering my very 1st Compuadd system, with a shopping 40 Mb drive... all for $2,9995 and change!

I've got a 486 system by Compuadd that has green, teal, and purple for its BIOS interface... not the most pleasant thing to use

The CompuAdd 212 was the first computer I ever was in the same room as, but I was a baby. Then there was a custom built 95 computer I used a little, but I have no idea how to find the case. The 98 compaq presario was the first one I used heavily

LMAO yeah i could see that 😂 Yeah i thought the CompuAdd was interesting enough and adorable so i had to pick it up. It also has a wonderful keyboard to type on, a lot of those machines did in that era.

Use to work at CompuAdd, and just picked-up this beautiful 325s. First thing to check? If Wolfenstein 3-D I found on the HD works. It Does! 😆

These two machines look so cute together. Sadly though, the CompuAdd has a proprietary undocumented expansion interface.

The 1st for my family was a 286-based PC-compatible/clone by Compuadd, DOS 4.0, amber monochrome monitor. 20MB hdd. It had both 3.5" & 5.25" disk drives too. I was 6.

Not the 1st I ever used tho. I think I played games on an Apple II at a friend's house or the library before that. Fuzzy memory...

CompuAdd tried this with tower boxes back in the 1980's, but it did not catch on with other manufacturers and faded out around 1990. So this may, or may not work. It's all dependent upon manufacturers using the architecture.

We had previously built (and patented) the CompuAdd Funstation. Went way beyond this, with integrated TV and telephone system.

I always thought CompuAdd machines were neat!
