The angularity, brown over -that- TNG green, and that it still has a bird painted on it are all plusses. I don't even care that it's double-hulled, but I can see this being what would become the double hull of the D'Deridex.
It's better than any Romulan I've seen since KA, IMO.

I feel like early TMP should definitely echo more the single body + nacelles on wings layout, but I can also kinda see the late movies era starting to head in the D'deridex direction, similar to how the Excelsior was a departure from the TMP norm.

The K't'inga trying to be a TNG D'deridex? Oh yes, even though I loathe the thing. Called it the Auroto class, made out of a partial K't'inga shipment promised to the Romulans but aborted by the Klingons when they reneged on the treaty.

So now that we're all skint because of the #LEGO USS Enterprise, what do you hope is the next release?
My wishlist consists of a USS Voyager, USS Cerritos and a D'Deridex Warbird.

If I'm being cynical I think the D'Deridex and the return from seclusion of the Romulans started the ball rolling on Starfleet remilitarisation but those gears turn slowly. (Especially as a conspiracy was shut down by Riker and Picard towards the end of Season 1) The Borg are a convenient excuse

To address point 1 I would point out the Galaxy is designed to keep pace with the best Klingon ships of the day and that even when the Romulans come out of seclusion with the mahoosive D'deridex class it's not like anybody's particularly phased and neither are the Romulans confident in taking them
