No pics of the image train but when I tried Jupiter/Saturn I had:

EdgeHD8 ==> visual back ==> Celestron X-Cel 2X Barlow ==> ZWO Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector ==> Baader UV/IR filter ==> ZWO ASI385MC

The filter was screwed onto the camera nosepiece.

Raiding the archives as I have no new data. This is Mel15 from December 2023, through a dual band filter. The odd colouration bottom left is due to a not fully corrected moon glow, but I kind of liked it.

Current astrophotography setup. I do have an Esprit 120 on the way, and I'm pretty excited to see what I can do with that. SCTs can be a pain to work with. The main imaging scope is a Celestron EdgeHD8 with OAG and IMX571 astrocam

#Saturn was exactly opposite the Sun in the sky yesterday morning, an event called "#opposition".
Although conditions were awful, I was determined to battle the misty cloud to try and get a photo.
Not my best Saturn image, but turned out better than I expected

At opposition, the shadow of the planet on the rings is hidden. The shadows of the icy particles within the rings themselves also disappear which can make the rings appear brighter. This is the Seeliger effect, although with the rings being so narrow at present this isn't very obvious! This image used a Celestron EdgeHD8 and x2 Barlow. 7 x 3 minute video captures, stacked and combined/derotated in Winjupos

Trunk of the Elephant's Trunk Nebula (IC 1396). It was taken as a 2-panel mosaic. I filmed the left half separately from the right and then stitched them together into a single final image.
