#EdgeHD8
I processed this as a 2-panel mosaic of the Western Veil Nebula in the HOO palette. It includes over 26.5 hours of total exposure time across several weeks. Scroll for a closer look.

The moon can be a massive pain if you want to make photos of deep sky objects. It can glow over large parts of the sky. The solution? Shoot the moon! 🔭 #astrophotography #backyardastronomy #berlin #germany #edgehd8 #svbonysv705c #sharpcap
Full moon? Shoot the Moon then.

We’re expecting 10-18” of snow and it’s been cloudy for almost a month.🙄So here’s my main rig at the moment. I plan to capture some planetary shots after it stops #astrophotography #astrorig #astrogear #telescope #oag #guidecamera #zwo #askar #celestron #eaf #asiair #asi2600 #asi174 #edgehd #edgehd8

Some people think that globular clusters are boring but I think they’re quite beautiful. Especially when your telescope can produce pinpoint stars! Here’s my image of the Hercules globular cluster #M13 #globularcluster #stars #deepspaceobject #edgehd8 #astrophotography #space #astronomy #celestron

I just captured over 17 hours on the North American Nebula. It turned out far better than I ever imagined! This is just the Cygnus Wall portion.

I took this image of the Cigar Galaxy a few months ago. I then added the Hydrogen alpha signal (the red part in the middle).

I'm pondering using N.I.N.A for #astrophotography w/ mini PC rather than ASIAir, primarily due to ZWO lock-in (picked up a motorized Moonlite focuser for the EdgeHD8 which won't work with the Air). Is NINA usable from a tablet? Is needing to switch between programs for guiding a PITA?

Trunk of the Elephant's Trunk Nebula (IC 1396). It was taken as a 2-panel mosaic. I filmed the left half separately from the right and then stitched them together into a single final image.

No pics of the image train but when I tried Jupiter/Saturn I had:

EdgeHD8 ==> visual back ==> Celestron X-Cel 2X Barlow ==> ZWO Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector ==> Baader UV/IR filter ==> ZWO ASI385MC

The filter was screwed onto the camera nosepiece.
