It’s a ridiculously low limit, too. If they must, at least limit it to prolific accounts – say, more that 50 links a month.

Encouraging our kids’ enthusiasms is admirable. I can’t tell you the number of hours I spent taking my son to his shooting club and just…sitting in my car until he was done (club wasn’t really set up for parents to just wait). Lots of fun in the winter.

And the incentive is literally to get things comprehensively wrong, encouraging people wagering massive amounts of money. Because unlike casinos, Polymarket takes its cut whether people win OR lose. The more you win, the more polymarket makes, the more you lose, the more polymarket makes.

Honestly it's encouraging to see people outright refuse the checks. I think normalising facial scans and handing over ID documents to unaccountable third parties as a prerequisite for online life is abhorrent, and I lose my mind a bit at how little pushback there's been.

that's a relief to hear! and somewhat encouraging, though it does suck for most of them who are really just there to try to catch the bad guys.

from the little anecdotal evidence I've gathered so far, that sentiment runs quite fierce in many of the other govt offices, but that goes without saying
