The last ceasefire was broken by Israel hours into the agreement.

The current "peace" plan *may* end the immediate bloodshed & let needed aid in, but it's no roadmap to Palestinian sovereignty or liberation.

Sanctions, divestments, & embargos against Zionist occupation are still required.

I have a signed Usagi Yojimbo comic and it is genuinely one of my favorite things ever.
kilnfiendpotter.bsky.social
Throw the Usagi Yojimbo series in there and that should help a little bit?

And honestly, there's nothing wrong with that!

But yeah, the guy comes off as someone who has a very narrow understanding of theatre. Anyone who drops the price of their tickets (and the exact placement of their seats) is also likely to see it as a status marker rather than an art form.

I think if you're willing to drop $1400 on tickets, it's on you to do the research first.

But you're right. It sounds like this guy is more of a Les Mis dude than an Absurdist play man.

Beckett is an Absurdist playwright, and this play in particular is a very stripped down, bare bones work that focuses more on existential themes. It's meant to explore the perceived meaninglessness of human existence, especially in waiting for someone who may never come.

It's like walking into "Rent" and complaining about how no one actually paid Benny rent, and also why does almost everyone have AIDS?

So confusing.

"HOW DID HE MAKE THAT DISAPPEAR - OH OH MY GOD HE DID IT AGAIN MAGIC IS REAL!!! MAGIC IS REAL!!!"

seeing people get upset at watching a Beckett play is kind of like the negative inverse of seeing someone really awestruck by a magician and I really enjoy it

Imagine this same dude walking into a Chris Angel show and having his mind blown every five minutes.

He was **so close** to getting the point of the play, and yet.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

I love this time of the year, when you can pile a bunch of squash on a table and call it a decorative arrangement.

You don't even need to take the labels off.

Rappscallion has memorized "Everybody Poops", and has started to recite it to herself at bedtime.

Hearing them say: "A two hump camel makes a two hump poop. Just kidding!" is so fucking cute I cannot even.

Also, Boston in general is always angry. We're just more focused at the moment.

My community/neighborhood is panicking, but it's evolved into a quiet, angry watchfulness that's become focused on our safety because fuck fascists and the gestapo.

Olivia is incredibly intelligent, caring and wise. And also would fuck your shit up immediately if you ever hurt her people.

Also I love her jewelry. ❤️💎✨

He must have the hardest working agent in Hollywood. Damn.

It's a REALLY good soundtrack. It makes me think of people wearing black leather trenchcoats/low rise tight pants and sunglasses dancing it out in some underground German nightclub.

Between Jared Leto and Russell Brand (and also perhaps, Charles Manson), I cannot look at a White Jesus looking dude without thinking he's extremely sus.

Me, learning that there's a new Tron movie: "Huh, okay."

Me, listening to the NIN Tron soundtrack: "Industrial, cool. I think this musical take works."

Me, finally watching the trailer: "Is that Jared - NOPE NOPE GTFO CREEPY WHITE JESUS"
