so, i think the unicorn symbolism for the fortemps foreshadows haurchefant's fate in a unique way (small thread!)

I like to think Gisèle reconstructed his off the shoulder coat from memory since she never actually saw him in it, except instead of the Garlean sigil it’s got the Fortemps crest on the back. since he’s not legally permitted to wear a signet she made him a set of earrings.

in essence, i think the fortemps symbol is a very clear callback to this specific series of tapestries and a subversion to the christ allegory that belongs to the original artwork.

Gisèle’s tiny fangs, which she got at the end of 6.0 from consuming so much of Vrtra’s aether when she used his Eye to become Phoenix in the Endsinger fight. They’re cute ofc, but a physical reminder of his love for her—he freely lent her his power, unasked, and it changed her body and soul.
