ADVENT Snow falling in continuous tense as if nothing has strayed. And what to do but begin again, decorating this palace for you. Unpacking the tangled fable, choiring all the ways to give and give. The field off-white, its halflight a train carrying would-be joy towards silence. Who would have witnessed the blue horses candling the steps of my body? Or December’s thin bell we pretend is not the toll. Our feet invisible under white —but our prints everywhere on Earth. Vikki C.

Wrens, Robins & Blackbirds are often out & about in the halflight but surely the wren is the most crepuscular of them all.
Here it is at 18.50 yesterday evening successfully hunting for invertebrates at the #weedypond
Sunset was at 18.15 (on a very overcast evening).

"Get over here-" Téa growled, sharp teeth flashing in the low light. He grabbed Gale by the waist and pulled their bodies together. With a fervor he descended on the wizard's mouth, wicked teeth and clever tongue chasing Gale's gasps. Turning ireg, preasiely shone in this halflight, Gale shuddered. His near-death experience had riled Téa up in a way he hadn't been privy to before. Some of their party had fallen and been brought back in the past, but it was the first time Gale had stood at death's door in front of his companions. "You'd have left me alone if not for Astarion's quick thinking with that scroll," Téa scolded him, hands roving at the edge of Gale's shirt, desperate to feel him, check him over, ensure he was still of acceptable stock. "Well yes it was a rather resourceful." al yeling and suckad in a breal as a cruel nip sent Téa's hands made their way under Gale's tunic, pulling it from his waistband. Téa pressed his face against Gale's neck and inhaled deeply. Ink, parchment, somehow the lingering scent of old books, and a deep, brandy-rich musk that clung to the wizard. "You're not allowed to die Gale, you may not remain away from me. I won't allow it." Gale shuddered at the possessiveness roiling off of the tiefling in waves. The heat, the hunger. Everything Téa felt was worn on his sleeve, or in his pants, as current evidence suggested. "Your place is in in this world, with me." Téa pulled Gale impossibly closer, grinding his clothed, half-hardened arousal against the wizard's front. "We shouldn't be doing this," Gale gasped, "the rest of the party is just around the corner and to be found in such a compromising position." Téa cut him off with a searing kiss, "Then we'd best be quick about it my darling wizard."

Was looking through some old photos last night and came across a picture I took of Eyvind Earle’s “Of The Hills And Valleys” while browsing the Bleak House exhibit at LACMA in 2016. Del Toro's eclectic and exhaustive collection of ephemera was cool but I loved his art choices even more.
