#JFL – #HondaFC clinch their 11th JFL championship with a 1–0 win at MinebeaMitsumi FC; a 2–2 tie at Briobecca UI was not enough for #ReilacShiga to keep pace. However, Shiga are now confirmed for the J3/JFL playoffs as #ReinMeerAomori lost 0–3 against Verspah Oita, thus eliminating their last hope.

JFL優勝のHondaFCがJ3に昇格しない(J会員では無い)ため、J3最下位とJFL2位で入れ替え戦が発生。
J3で入れ替え戦対象になり得るチームは現在2チーム。
この2チームはあと2試合で勝点4点差。そして、最終節で直接対決となるという。

With #HondaFC ( #JsGatekeeper) having secured a #JFL Top2 finish, #J3League P19 may now rest easily as only P20 will be considered for a team exchange. If JFL P2 #ReilacShiga win the league, it will be a direct exchange, otherwise there will be a two-legged playoff with Reilac or #ReinMeerAomori.

Other favorites for a Top2 finish at this point include #ReinMeerAomori, #Verspah Oita, #HondaFC, #ReilacShiga. #VeertienMie will have to stretch a bit to reach their ranks, while #GrullaMorioka, #CriacaoShinjuku, and #YSCC will probably be already happy if they can avoid any rel zone contact.

Five weeks after the end of the 2024 season, #YSCC did not announce any new players so far to make up for the 20 departures. #HondaFC (–4 players) and #MinebeaMitsumiFC (–5) have not yet published their new recruits as well.

If the merger should be completed, my guess is that #HondaFC will slowly be transformed into a #FMarinos reserve team before eventually being shut down a couple of years later – at least this is what happened to other #JLeague reserve teams so far (JEF Reserves, Fagiano Next).

Wondering if there are any sporting implications to the reported Nissan-Honda merger.

Nissan is the majority owner of Yokohama F. Marinos, while Honda has Honda FC - a JFL club that steadfastly refuses to professionalize.

Is that enough separation to keep both clubs as is?
