#ISurvivedAuschwitz Holocaust survivor Oscar Singer was forced to pull gold teeth from the dead at Auschwitz. Near the end of the war, he and his brother, his only surviving relative, were sent on a death march. However, sadly, his brother died shortly before liberation. #RememberThis

#ISurvivedAuschwitz Munkács-born Viola Baras and her parents survived Auschwitz. Munkács was an important Czechoslovakian Jewish community before the Holocaust. In March 1944 it was occupied by the Germans. 80 years later, Viola wants you to #RememberThis: It could happen again.

Lali and Gita Sokolov were married for 58 years.
Gita passed away in 2003 and Lali in 2006.

#ISurvivedAuschwitz The Nazis took Holocaust survivor Hirsz Litmanowicz’s family one by one until it was only him and his brother. The boys did not know what to do so they presented themselves to the SS – they wanted to see where their parents were – and were sent to #Auschwitz.
