Even if we got an exact copy of Bloodlines in NEW SHINY TECH™ people still would be disappointed. The Mythos of Bloodlines 1 as this "perfect complex RPG" outgrew the actual game (a janky imsim with an amazing world) to such a degree that whatever happens with it now will forever be tainted

Project Zomboid is a crazy ImSim sandbox with so much going for it
But also I've stopped playing it entirely because they haven't added NPCs back in yet, and they've hired the people that were working on mods so they wouldn't beat em to the punch

Also, holy shit at how much of this tutorial area is skill gated? I picked stealth and speech as my starting skills and now 80% of shit is just inaccessible to me? And not "find another way, it's an imsim" but just straight up, i can't do it?

This is BY FAR the best "run away from the invincible monster" horror game I've played, and account it actually has great adventure game and even imsim mechanics!
It still has problems and annoyances that come with the genre but it's great. Really dope narrative choices

I think the main lesson here is that there is no good reason for a single player imsim/RPG/whatever to have an official discord server, as official discord servers only bring pain and destruction in their wake. You don't get to choose if a bunch of gay losers enjoy your work (see Homestuck)

Similar to this (for Imsim level designers), the first reception I worked in had one password and two key-codes written on post-it notes, and the password in particular was visible if you stood at the reception desk.
Again, to every videogame writer who wrote funny emails to read in an immersive sim/etc. where I rolled my eyes and said out loud, "lol like anyone would ever email something this on the nose", again, sorry, I was wrong, life sucks, you nailed it
