It is not an uncommon sight that Orion wakes to that morning. The light through the window is hazy from the fog that has sat itself high on the bay to kiss against the stone and glass of the inn room. Warm light manages to push through into blurry lines of light against worn wooden floors painting them like spilt paint thinned as it reaches the bottom of its can. His eyes blink slowly taking in nothing much on their first pass and that leaves his mind to kick into gear a little more. Hand into the bed, his body shifts up with a slight sway to it, hair askew around his face like a dark frame accented by gold that needs polishing. "Hm?" Turning to look at the source of the noise, Orion cannot help the response that leaves him. For how else could one respond to seeing Loifa in the shirt and shorts he apparently lent him the night prior? "You're not real," Orion says, words slurred and the end nearly choked as his body falls back onto the bed with a heavy thud, "You're not fucking real." Loifa squints at the reaction, hand still mid-action of pouring himself a cup of coffee that has just finished brewing. "Do I want to ask what this is about? Did we have an odd dream again?" A laugh leaves Orion at that and he twists to press his head into the pillow where he continues to shake softly under the force of his amusement. What did he think would happen, exactly? Loifa would, as most did, leave. They always left. He wanted them to leave… didn't he? Well, the others, perhaps. The ones that didn't challenge his every word. The ones that didn't care about the world with a ferocity that rivaled the very sun. Those, yes, he wanted to leave. Loifa was not like them in the slightest. Yet here he was morning after morning that they had the chance to be together. Suddenly, his laughter dies at the next thought that crosses his mind: Loifa is here this morning and there is no doubt in his mind that he will be here tomorrow morning as well. It makes him swallow, eyes closed against the pillow as if he could make himself go back to sleep by force to then wake up in reality as it was supposed to be. After a moment, a hand touches his spine and makes his tail smack against the blanket over him in its weak attempt at escape. "Orion… you're worrying me. Is it really a dream? A nightmare? I—Can I do something to convince you or—?" Orion turns his head to look out of one eye at a very concerned viera hovering over him. His eyes again shut, shaking his head against the pillow. "You're very cute, you know." "That doesn't answer my question. You're being very odd—more so than usual. That sort is annoying, but normal. This kind is quiet and I don't like it so if you would just—" "You'll be here tomorrow, won't you? In the morning?" Orion interrupts and he feels Loifa's hand stop the unconscious stroke it had taken to his spine, "I'm not asking for confirmation. It's fact." Loifa doesn't speak until Orion meets his gaze and when he does it's quiet. "Yes, I will. Was there a reason to think I wouldn't be?" "Many, many years of reasons… all of which are terribly irrelevant now," Orion answers, mouth tweaking on the edge to smile. "You really are so fucking cute in my clothes… Gods help me. I was so quick passing out last night after the last round of things I didn't realize you grabbed them." Loifa tsks, looking off as red starts to swallow his neck and face up in a shade that matches his tattoo and eyes well. "Well, I forgot to pack something for lounging around. I'm not exactly versed in it, but I'm growing into it. Suppose I'll need to get my own?" Pulling at him with a crooked arm around his waist to drag their bodies together, Orion again chuckles a little more awake than before, "Don't you fucking dare."

New Zealand has settled down into a two *bloc* (centre-left, centre-right) system. There is no centre bloc, and elections are probably more about intra-bloc shifts than inter-bloc shifts (though the latter are important).

Point being, FPTP doesn't cause/solve fundamental problems.

My husband and I are already planning for our house to be inter generational for our son. He’s smart and motivated but I’d rather plan for it and not need it than be surprised later.

You can also use sway over the voter base to pressure inter-party dissent if its an issue particularly popular with voters like working toward nationalized healthcare. Urge voters to write in to and phone call obstinate dems. There are plenty of methods to put pressure without being evil about it.

Zero-One- Comedian-turned-CEO links up to Super computer to defeat rogue AI robots while selling those robots and justifying their existence as sentient beings. Saber- A novelist joins an ancient order of swordsmen to fight monsters from a storybook world. Revice- Demons use stamps to release people’s inner demons, a bathhouse worker forms a contract with his inner demon and they both become Kamen Riders. Geats- Battle Royal between Riders to make their desired World a reality. Gotchard- High School kid joins Alchemist Union to collect 101 alchemical created monsters called Chemys. Gavv- Half-Monster uses powers gained from human snacks to fight his family who turn people into a drug-like candy that they sell in their dimension.

This is not a new development, or a chance to stroke your chin about the dangers of social media." A series of tweets with various newspaper headlines from 1912 roasting the Titanic for sinking. The first one, from The Evening Star, Washington DC, April 18, 1912, says "The adjective "unsinkable", like the word "fireproof", will be accepted here only in an approximate sense." The second headline, from The Butte Inter-Mountain, Montana, April 22, 1912, reads "At all, the events the scientists seem to agree that icebergs in the path of ocean liners are not conducive to safety". The third headline, from The Chicago Tribune, Illinois, April 23, 1912, has a title saying "In the Steamship Office..." with the text being: "Patron: What can you give me for next Wedsneday's sailing?" In his book, The Great Convergence: Information Technology and the New Globalization, Richard Baldwin suggests that “under the Old Globalization, the frontline of competition was thought of as national borders … Under the New Globalization, the frontline of competition is better thought of as being between cross-national production networks” and “[The effective geographical boundaries of competition are] no longer really Japan versus Germany; it is the Honda-led [global value chain] versus the BMW-led [global value chain].” This is a profound insight with significant implications for how interests and ideology might intersect to make it harder to corral corporations into national projects. This is even more likely to be the case if inter-firm rivalries are particularly bitter inside a shared domestic market. If so, this could lead to cross-border rather than national alliance patterns, including features such as sharing the costs and benefits of research into emerging technologies. The logic of the marketplace could lead to alliance patterns that look more like rival airline families that share frequent-flier mile programs across national boundaries. It would make eminent sense for firms with a global footprint and complementary local strengths to partner to share research or other expenses across geographies. And for all the rhetoric about “friend-shoring” across “shared values,” it could prove hard for governments to keep corporations from pursuing the most economically advantageous path, particularly if official definitions of friends, foes, and values themselves prove to be variable and instrumental. Being a national champion could mean less to corporations that have come to think that under the conditions of “actually existing capitalism”—even as of mid-2023—capitalism in one country is barely capitalism at all.

Suárez is being suspended for an off-ball incident in the 71st minute, in which he kicked out at Nashville defender Najar. There was no foul called or card issued on the play.
