“Le trae por la calle de la amargura” is a great expression.

Le trae = it brings him/her/them

Por = through, via

La calle de la amargura = the street of bitterness

Like the “bane of one’s existence”

Also FYI struggling with croquetas is very common for the Spanish, too 😅

I like to notice similarities between French and Spanish grammar.

1. French uses se + past participle for passive construction: le chemin se crée "the road is made"

2. French uses en + present participle, not infinitive, to say "by -ing": en marchant (by walking)
