Yep. Reform council in Lancashire have already disavowed fracking. Need people asking Reform councillors in Lincs, Derbyshire & Notts (where there are PEDL licences) what they think of Farage & Tice’s pro-fracking policy. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Reform’s pro-fracking stance could divide potential voters, research shows
Exclusive: Policy lacks support in areas where drilling could start – many of which have Reform MPs or are target seats

Round here (Notts/Leic/Lincs the councils have started to give you a choice of 2 or 3 which is much better. Although there are still a fair few carparks where only cash will do. Crazy in this day & age. Always keep a handful of coins in each car just in case. I learnt the hard way.

North Notts & Lincs Community Rail Partnership are shocked and horrified to learn of last night's incident on an LNER service. Our thoughts are with the victims, and our heartfelt thanks to the emergency services and our railway colleagues who responded to this incident.

My poem 'Not in the Manual' will be featured on Radio Notts, Derby, Lincs & Leics tonight as part of BBC Upload. There will also be chat about Swadlincote Festival of Words & Swadlincote's own spoken word night, Scribes Aloud. Swad's creative scene is thriving and it's a joy to be part of it ✨

A species I can't get enough of 🪶

I like to think Worksop folk would stand a better chance in a balloon debate justifying their town's existence than several other market towns of Notts and Lincs.

I don’t know wtf is going on with these loons. But I suspect there is something of the Notts and Lincs in all this while aided and abetted by the Devonish.

We welcomed over 120 representatives from businesses across Notts, Lincs and Yorkshire, to our first STEP Supplier Networking Event. Held in Gainsborough, local SMEs explored how the UK’s prototype fusion power plant, STEP, will demonstrate commercial fusion energy, and what that means for them. 1/2

M. Pygmaeus not known from Notts, I only have three widely spread records from past work in Dorset, Lancashire and Lincolnshire. Epiphanis appears to be following me around, Notts, Lincs and Bedfordshire so far this year after finding it a coupke of times in Notts in the last three years.

I have a complicated relationship with Thatcher.
My family in Lincs/Notts were friends deep into 1970s with Thatcher family tho lost touch with MT after she married.
The family were deeply conservative & surprisingly social but I’m not sure how much MT actually understood the forces she unleashed.

A foray into Notts yesterday. Black-throated Diver at S.Muskam. The Slav Grebe was always distant at Kilvington.
Finished with a couple of Lincs year ticks at places we don't visit often, Millennium Green and Job's Lane.
A Buzzard in the last of the sun was quite nice.

Leaving aside my parochial distaste of Lincs (evil neighbours of my E. Notts home), the only game in town in that county in my lifetime is Agriculture and whatever Siemens are doing in terms of renewables (plus Lincoln Uni and some legacy steelworks) so to want to kneecap a third is an odd take.

Labour will never appeal to the Lincs demographic, on the whole anyway, I’d be more concerned about the East Midlands, Notts, Yorks, there has to be a bit of hope given to people, WFA explained better, rich pensioners always complain, my in-laws included, the communication Labour has is woeful.

Birding highlights this week - finding a Yellow-browed Warbler in my Newark garden on Wednesday, Sibe Stonechat and RB Flycatcher at Donna Nook on Friday, and a twitch with the family up to Bempton today for the Pale-legged Leaf Warbler (which showed better than my photos suggest!) #ukbirding

I don't dare watch it, I just can't

I lived in Lincoln and worked throughout the East Midlands / North Lincs / Notts for a while.

Working in East Notts on community education...

I watched the first series

I know I will harm my screen if I watch this one...
