This is an interesting development - a Bill (proposed new law) to compel dentists to have insurance and not be permitted to rely on indemnity (indemnity being e.g. DDU, MDDUS, DPL, DDS).

The letters simply state let us know if you know of any reason why they can’t have the injections.

Once this letter lands in our inbox, MDDUS feel we need to review patient records, obtain patient consent and offer to share.

Providers are transferring responsibility to us.

MDDUS also found that:

21% of medics had thought about self-harm or suicide at least once.
85% of GPs who had had suicidal feelings blamed that on the impact of their job.
